My Story

Melinda D. Davis known as “Mel D” on air

I am a woman of God with strong family values and believe in the human spirit. I enjoy tapping into my creative side while reading, writing in my journal, cooking and walking with my canine son, Mysun. My passion, gifts and talents are in creating platforms that inspire positive human relational experiences. I enjoy developing, cultivating and supporting the “awakening” of the natural talents of people. I am constantly striving to be and do better in this journey called LIFE!

My Turning Point (and my “Up2Me” moment)

After a successful career in government service and professional consulting in the private sector, I discovered my passion and talent for media and specifically in radio and the emerging podcast industry. I stepped out on faith in 2012 with my husband’s support and created Atlanta Life Media LLC., and the Up2Me Radio brand.

My Path

I gained my radio broadcasting experience as a producer and on air radio personality with
CBS Radio Atlanta/WAOK as the Co-Host for the weekly show “Boom Town Talk” with retired NFL Player Jamie Dukes. I also served as Producer and the Atlanta Correspondent for the syndicated online radio/podcast show “Good Morning Caribbean”

Additional media experience was gained in front of the camera on television and from radio appearances on several local and nationally syndicated shows such as CNN with Wolf Blitzer during my tenure as the Director of the Office of Aging with Fulton County Government.

Bridging my passion, education, experience, talent and gifts I began my journey to be build an inspirational live talk radio/podcast platform. My belief in the power of the human spirit combined with the commitment of a focused, talented and purpose led team Up2Me Radio is a leader in the Podcast Industry.
